This page originally listed what I reported as the addresses of 146 known or suspected spammers, collected by Alexander Verbraeck <A dot Verbraeck at duticai dot twi dot tudelft dot nl> and posted on 1997-04-22 to a mailing list for list managers.

One person whose address appeared on the list wrote asking to be removed, indicating that the list contained not spammers, but the addresses of spam victims. I wrote to the list's originator for clarification and he characterized the original list this way:

  a. domains that were used to route spam
  b. addresses of spammers
  c. addresses of people who were mailbombed by subscribing them
     to thousands of lists
